The beloved Soweto In Colours Countdown returns for its 14th edition on 31 December 2025, promising an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at the iconic Soweto Theatre. Running from 6 pm – 5 am, this annual lifestyle and entertainment event continues to serve as a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space for the community of Soweto to celebrate the end of each year and usher in a new one together. Established as a response to the social and economic challenges that often divide communities, the Soweto In Colours Countdown has become a unifying cultural moment — where families, friends, and music lovers gather to experience joy, togetherness, and authentic Soweto nightlife in a secure environment.
A Powerful Line-Up for the 2025 Edition. The 2025 festival will feature top-tier entertainment, including a dynamic roster of 11 leading DJs and 4 renowned MCs, a live broadcast of the official countdown, a spectacular fireworks display, and exhibitions highlighting local lifestyle and consumable brands.
