The Courtesy Call is a formal, non-substantive diplomatic visit to South Africa aimed at building and strengthening bilateral relationships between the two countries.

These meetings between the two heads of state focus on maintaining international relations and discussing broad areas of mutual cooperation.

His Excellency, the Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile, pays a Courtesy Call to Her Excellency, Mrs Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at the President’s House in New Delhi.

Deputy President Mashatile reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment to India and called for more partnership.

“The Strategic Partnership between South Africa and India serves as a crucial vehicle in furthering the cause of economic growth and development, the fostering of trade and investment ties, and the enhancement of cultural connections through people-to-people exchanges.”
