CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW: SUNDOWNS TO FACE RULANI MOKWENA’S MC ALGER

Mamelodi Sundowns, the only South African representative in this year’s tournament, will meet Al Hilal from Sudan, MC Alger of Algeria, and Lupopo from the DRC in Group C.

Rulani Mokwena will be taking on his old club Mamelodi Sundowns after his Mouloudia Alger were paired with the South African champions in a tough group in the African Champions League.

St Eloi Lupopo from Lubumbashi, who eliminated Pirates in the second round on post-match penalties just over a week ago, will return to South Africa to face Sundowns in Group C.

Orlando Pirates opened three cases against Saint-Eloi Lupopo’s head coach, Guy Bukasa, and two players, Henoc Molia and Ramos Khashala Wanet. If Orlando Pirates win its case, MC Alger Head coach will face two on form SA Giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates that he coached. CAF Group C will be more interesting.
