Betway once again elevated the Soweto Derby matchday experience as thousands of supporters turned out at FNB Stadium for the second Betway Premiership Soweto Derby of the 2025/26 season between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
As part of the ongoing Betway S’bonise & Win campaign, the Soweto Derby was elevated to a Dial Up fixture, where Edward Shabalala was crowned the 14th Dial Up winner of the season. Shabalala walked away with R50 000.00, courtesy of having an active Betway account.
Following the announcement, Shabalala expressed his gratitude, sharing that the prize money would help him return to school after having to put his studies on hold due to financial challenges. He added that the win had given him renewed hope and an opportunity to continue building his future.
Thousands of fans also walked away with prizes through the return of the popular Betway Win-O-Meter, which added to the matchday atmosphere by rewarding supporters for standout style, creativity and team spirit.
Fans were further treated to memorable interactions with football legends Lebohang Mokoena and Katlego Mphela, while also enjoying a unique experience with the Betway Premiership Trophy and capturing special photo moments.

Betway S’bonise & Win Terms & Conditions
To qualify as an entrant, the participant/ entrant must:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Purchase a valid match ticket for any broadcast Betway Premiership fixture
- Be wearing home team regalia or colours
- A natural citizen or permanent resident
- The winner will only ever be contacted in person at the stadium by a Betway representative
Betway S’bonise & Win mechanics are as follows:
- The SuperSport outside broadcast team will select a fan in the stands between the first 30-minutes of the game
- The Betway representative will receive communication from the SuperSport outside broadcast team with an image of the winner and position in the stadium
- Once the winner is found, the Agency Stadium Rep will ask qualifying questions:
- Verification that they are over 18, proof required.
- Verification of match day ticket.
- Willingness to be on camera.
- They must be sober-minded until the end of the game and willing to move from their seat at any moment during the game.
- Confirm with the Betway call centre that the winner has an active account if the winner indicates they have one.
- A fan can only win once during the entire season.
The Betway S’bonise & Win prize is as follows:
R10 000.00 cash prize or R20 000.00 if they have a valid and active Betway Account.
