South Africans face another fuel price hike from Wednesday, 6 May

Petrol under‑recoveries:

  • 93 Unleaded: R1.73
  • 95 Unleaded: R2.04
  • Expected to average out to a ~R1.88 per litre increase for both grades

Diesel:

  • Expected increase of ~R4.03 per litre, partly due to the extension of temporary fuel tax relief (93c for diesel) and unchanged relief for petrol
